The Personal Life of Carleton Sheets

Carleton Sheets was born in Illinois but moved to Ohio at a young age with his parents and younger brother. It was during this period that he borrowed money for a lawnmower to start a lawn moving business for extra money. He paid back the loan he made from his mother with the profits from this venture. After that positive experienced he expanded into the world of newspaper delivery. Once again he borrowed money to purchase a bicycle and paid that back from his earnings. At the age of ten, Sheets was already employing the no down payment tactics that would carry through to his later years.

After attending and graduating from college, Sheets entered the corporate world with a position at California based Armstrong Cork Company. He married and had two children during a period of eight years with the company where he moved from California to North Carolina to Georgia. He later accepted a Director of Marketing position with Lykes Pasco Packing Company. However, his lack of experience with this position was evident to both Sheet as well as the company and he was subsequently fired.

Investing with No Down Payment

Even though his brief stint in marketing was unsuccessful, he did not let this discourage him. Instead, he pursued self employment opportunities and decided real estate was the most lucrative route. He attempted to break into commercial real estate sales starting with an apartment building. However, he was unsuccessful and ended up purchasing the building himself with two partners using no money of his own to finance the endeavor. After a year and a half of rehabbing, it was sold at a profit which was split between the partners.

This was the first but definitely not the last of his zero money down financing opportunities in the real estate industry. In five years he amassed almost 500 rental units and garnered a reputation for being a successful real estate investor. To date he has been involved in over $50 million in commercial and residential real estate transactions that have propelled him to the success he has enjoyed.

Sharing his Knowledge with the World

Carleton Sheets started teaching local real estate classes to the community. He also authored and co authored courses for the National Association of Realtors and the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute. He also conducted lectures, was featured in national magazines and was interview on radio and television talk shows.

His No Down Payment course was marketed by the Professional Education Institute (PEI) via infomercials as well as print and other media. No Down Payment is available for home study and has recently been revamped for inclusion on the Internet as e-learning opportunities for the general public. His Internet courses are available at no charge.

Carleton H. Sheets, now semi retired, had a long and lucrative career in the industry of real estate investing. His experience has also helped millions throughout the world in breaking into the world of investing. Even in his semi retirement, he continues to write and invest in his free time.
